Chickens are notoriously omnivorous, eating just about anything they can find, from fruits, seeds, and vegetation to insects, worms, and even small mammals.

Many silkies are polydactyl, meaning they have 1 or 2 extra toes. Silkies are decent layers and often calm and friendly when handled.
