Peafowl are a great exhibit of sexual dimorphism. The males are bright and colorful to attract females and to distract predators from females with their chicks. The females are less colorful, often white or brown with no long tail feathers like the males.  Males are peacocks, females are peahens, babies are peachicks, and collectively they are peafowl.
