SPRINGFIELD – At its October meeting, The Zoo in Forest Park’s Board of Directors voted unanimously to add long-time nonprofit leader Joan Kagan to the board.

The Zoo in Forest Park hosted its annual Spooky Safari, presented by Teddy Bear Pools and Spas, on Sat., Oct. 29. The family-friendly Halloween event welcomed close to 1,000 guests and featured a trick-or-treat trail with take-and-make crafts, candy, stickers, Halloween toys, books and pumpkins. Families were also invited to decorate a pumpkin, make a craft and get their face painted while at the event.  Western Mass News and WWLP's 22 News covered the event.
